The nights are drawing in, there’s a chill in the air, and Halloween is almost here! If you’re like the staff at Barron Family Dental, you’re looking forward to a fun, safe, and Happy Halloween this year. As you think through what you might dress up for this once-a-year haunted celebration, we thought we’d share with you some funny dental costumes ideas.
Fang You Very Much!
A classic costume for Halloween that will put your great teeth on show is the vampire! This monster creates just the right scare level while showing off your pointy, pearly whites. Don’t forget to brush otherwise you might have…bat breath! Pick up a pair of fangs, or long fang stick-on teeth, and the fake blood and head out on the town.
Twist Up the Tooth Fairy
Time to shake up this old costume favorite! Why not have gruff old dad dress up as the tooth fairy, complete with unshaven stubble, fairy wings, wand, and skirt for a twist on this Halloween theme. The tooth fairy isn’t complete without looking for a lost tooth so be sure to dress up a toddler or the pet dog as the loose tooth!
Daring Dental Trio
Headed out with your friends this year for trick-or-treating? Your super dental trio group can dress up as a toothbrush (cardboard or long gown and bristle hat or headgear), floss (cardboard packet with logo and yarn ‘floss’ coming out at the shoulder), and toothpaste (fabric gown with toothpaste logo and lampshade hat) for the perfect decay-fighting team. Your dentist will be so proud!
Braced for Fun
Got braces? This is just the season to put them to good use! With wig or pigtails, schoolgirl clothes, and a fake goldfish in a plastic bag and you’re Darla from Finding Nemo! Or how about Chuckie from the Rugrats with messy orange hair or wig, large purple glasses, blue shirt? Don’t forget to keep your shoes untied and you’re all set!
Dental Crown and Bridge
You know what to do! Dress up as a tooth in all white and add a regal crown and you’re a common dental treatment: a dental crown! Grab a friend, build a bridge costume out of cardboard and get them to trick-or-treat with you as a dental bridge. Don’t leave anyone out as another friend can dress up as the proud dentist and join you on the rounds!
Dentist and Filling
No dental Halloween list is complete without dressing up as a dentist! White lab coat, scrubs, face mask, and don’t forget the drill can do the trick. Plenty of options for your Halloween partner including dressing up in all gold as the gold filling!
Have a fun, safe Halloween and don’t forget to limit sweets and brush before bed!
