Learn About Invisalign
We understand the importance of making the right decision to improve your oral health and boost your confidence. Invisalign offers these benefits, as it is a unique solution to straighten teeth and can transform your smile!
Invisalign can be a great alternative to metal braces. Here are a few commonly asked questions:
How much does Invisalign cost?
Many people wonder how much Invisalign costs. It may vary depending on how recently you had teeth cleaning, and a few other things. Some people may not qualify for Invisalign as they may need more orthodontics. You do need to be cavity-free. Contact us for an evaluation of your teeth, gum, and bones, and we can provide a plan based on your dental needs.
How Does Invisalign Work?
A modern approach to straightening teeth, Invisalign uses a set (top and bottom) of clear plastic aligners that are molded just right for your mouth. Invisalign aligners must be worn at least 21 hours each day, and the trays provide controlled pressure on each tooth to slowly adjust teeth to a new position. This gradual shift, and replacing the aligners every few weeks as teeth move, will efficiently move crooked teeth from their current position to a new, defined position.
How long does Invisalign take?
Typically, Invisalign takes 6 to 24 months. The amount of time needed to straighten teeth or correct suitable dental issues really depends on each individual. Factors include the current position of teeth, severity of crooked teeth, the goals you determine for getting your teeth straightened, and your age. We find that a 12-month program often delivers tremendous results, but that timeframe may be lengthened (or shortened) depending on your prescribed solution. Most people are in the 15 month range, but it depends on the severity of your case. During your evaluation, we can give you an estimate. Contact us to schedule an appointment today.
What Are The Benefits of Invisalign?
We get this question often! The biggest advantage of this approach is that Invisalign aligners are almost invisible. It is not uncommon that people won’t notice when you are wearing your Invisalign aligners! Unlike traditional braces, Invisalign does not include metal, metal brackets, wires, or rubber bands. You will experience less gum and mouth irritation and can remove Invisalign aligners when you eat and brush your teeth. The key to Invisalign success is the commitment to wearing the aligners at least 21 hours each day and visiting your dentist on schedule to receive new aligners every few weeks.
